New firmware is pretty nifty, can mount ISOs and share the contents. "Maximum 200 ISO files can be mounted in total. " hmmn There's other improvements too, but I forget what.

Not sure I understand this, from the v2.0.0.4 release notes under Known Limitations: 26. NAS performance has been improved in firmware v2.1.01 or later. However, it won’t take effect just by firmware upgrade; you have to re-create the RAID too. In case you need it, backup all data, remove the RAID, create a new one, and then put all data back.v2.1.0.1? Is this looking to a future upgrade or what?

No future update, sorry It's just Thecus doing cut and paste of release notes from different products. The sentence you copied originates from firmware release v2.1.01 of the N2100.

Huh, so can we assume that it was already present in v2.0.0.3 for the 4100+ or is it new in f/w v2.0.0.4 also? I have to admit that I was hoping for some kind of RAID performance increase with the firmware update cos as it stands, the 4100+ is pig slow @ RAID 5; it can't even write at broadband download speeds!

I'm writing 4 disk raid 5 at 4.5 - 5 Megabytes a second, I really want your broadband. (That would be 40Mbit broadband) Reading at 7.5-8.5 Megabytes / s
Not sure how fast it was before the firmware update / raid rebuild (I did a rebuild as i only had a few hundred megs on it and the speed thing could have applied..)
