A couple of updates, some minor, some major - FIREFLY 1.3.00 (new firefly server)
- META 2.3.03 (gui cosmetics only)
- UTILS 1.1.00 (showmount added)
- RTORRENT 1.1.02 (improved editor)
- SSH 4.0.00 (reworked doumentation)
All of them are compatible with fw 2.1.06 (I finally took the plunge, too). Feedback is more than welcome especially in case you may find bugs. have fun, getmythe

I assume you are aware that FIREFLY requires UTILS

Does it start when you (re-)boot your box? Did you see any warning messages when starting from the shell? I'm using FIREFLY 1.4.00 on a regular basis and have not seen any problems sofar. There should be several processes called mt-daapd.

Hmmm, ...
let me quote the first chapter of the module description: "When module FIREFLY is activated the built-in iTunes server (mt-daapd) is deactivated. FIREFLY will start indexing all files with extensions .mp3, .m4a, .m4p, .wav, .flac and .ogg located in the iTunes folder. Only when this is done will the built-in web server be ready."
I marked the important part in bold

i think to reduce the risk of confusion it is always better to turn off the in-built itunes server. There are too many mt-dappt's running as it is!

The FIREFLY module takes care of everything; When starting up it first disables the built in iTunes service, then kills any running mt-daapd processes and at the end disables the iTunes start button in the web interface.
There is only one problem; In case module UTILS was not installed prior to FIREFLY the library setup is incomplete. You have to remove FIREFLY, install UTILS and then reinstall FIREFLY again.

Oh just noticed something that has just occured to me. Since i have installed meta and utils i have been getting these massively long beeps. These indicate that the fan has failed, correct?
Why would this suddenly appear after installing this? Is there are setting that has been altered that i don't know about? I never got any fan failures before. Mostly it is sorted with a restart, but i just thought i would make the point.
