for all the tweakers out there, ... I converted the openvpn meta setup into a proper module. The configuration files still are a do-it-yourself job though. To get you start I provide a basic Server/Client sample setup plus some instruction on how to use the module. www.freeside.ch/thecus/betacode/OPENVPN-1.0.00.mod.ziphave fun getmythe

I added some documentation and packaged the module up nicely. The new (officially announced) download location is www.freeside.ch/thecus/N2100-OPENVPN-1.0.00.tgz. As before, the configuration files for OpenVPN are a do-it-yourself job.

Hi, I installed the OpenVPN Module an it works right now. But it has one issue, it can't be en/disabled via Webinterface and it doesn't start at boot. I have to logon via SSH and to run the start script at /raid/modules/cfg/modules.rc/ (hope I remembered the path right). Then everything works fine. One workaround seems to be using the META Module, but I think this shouldn't be the way it was ought to work Hope you can help me. PS: I'm using Firmware 2.1.05

I finally found it! the two modules OPENVPN and HFSPLUS suffered from the same issue: The return value of the enable/disable script module.rc was not set . This resulted in some rather strange behaviour. You may grab the updated modules from the Thecus Wiki. getmythe

Great, the en/disabling works pretty fine.
But it still won't start at bootup. Any suggestions?
edit: I just tried the META Module to call the above mentioned OPENVPN.rc It doesn't work either. There is no failure log or something an the scriptcalling META script works fine when I use it via console :-(
