We all know that email notification is a major issue! let's take Gmail as an example - Thecus GUI does not provide SSL/TLS functionality for logevent setup
- Gmail is using SPF (Sender Policy Framework) which is picky with "from" fields
... or look at GMX - Thecus GUI does not provide SSL/TLS functionality for logevent setup
- GMX is checking that "from" field contains valid gmx domain
Most probably other providers have even more restrictions,; Oh well . META module version 2.0.02 now has patches for both GMX and Google. A proper configuration for the duo looks as follows If you need a patch for other providers, have a look at either one of the included scripts. It should give you an idea of what needs to be done (enable logging within the script to check if your email is accepted or not). If you successfully generated a new patch send me a PM. I will include your patch in the next version of META. getmythe
