Hi all.
I have been running uShare version 0.9.7 for a couple of weeks now to stream media through a D-Link 520. I have added new files to the shared folders, I then have to disable and enable the mod to view the new files. No problem here as it only takes a couple of seconds. However, twice I have had to remove and reinstall the mod after adding new files for the media streamer to see it on the network. Anyone else have similar issues?
I have also noticed that there is a later version 0.9.10 on GeeXboX website. I have no idea how to compile the files to install onto the Thecus, can anyone help me or is there a compiled file already in existence?
I will be trying TwonkyMedia over the weekend to see the differences. Anyone recommend one over the other?
Great forum btw!!!
Many thanks,
Lee.

Hi Lee, I've updated the module to include version 0.9.10 of uShare and I also rewrote the modules option page. The built in web server is now disabled (unsafe, e.g. security risk). I used this new version to stream music and display pictures on my Nokia N800. The latest version is available on www.freeside.ch/thecus/N2100-USHARE-0.9.10.tgzhave fun getmythe

Hi,
When I select "DLNA Compliancy (Sony PS3)" option, it won't start.
If I run the following command line /usr/local/sbin/ushare --daemon --dlna --name=uShareN2100 --interface=eth0 --no-web --no-telnet -c /raid/album -c /raid/iTunes
It gives the following error message. Warning: can't parse file "/usr/local/etc/ushare.conf".
