Hi getmythe, Many thanks for this user-friendly meta-script and FANRPM module! From the meta-script I use the options disable_fanrpm_alarm, force_gallery_login, force_webdisk_login, itunes-rescan_interval and I'm very happy with these options! Because I'm a rookie with scripts and don't dare to install SSH and experiment with my expensive N2100 I have a question for you: Is it possible for you to add extra options to disable anonymous FTP access and the 'from' addition of the mail-alert into the webinterface module management? I don't know if this is possible and it's just an humble question from me enjoying other people's knowledge

Hi Rookie,
the reason why scripts disable_anon_ftp_access.sh and logevent_email_address.sh are not built-into version 2.0.00 is very simple. Thecus added the functionality they provided in their most recent firmware (2.1.05, released on March 14).

Thanks for your quick reply. I've seen the firmware update but because my device is working smooth & silky now I didn't do the update yet (afraid of loosing my N2100 and yes...usually I'm the one that's flashing firmware everywhere I come around ;D ) But I'll update soon, possibly Edit: Updated to 2.1.05 but that doesn't work for me with the notification update. I expected a 'from'-field that can be edited, but it sends notifications from "admin@[host name].[domain]", so for me that is 'admin@nas.[ internethostname].domain' and my provider only accepts 'e-mailadres@domain'. Is it possible with your META-script to edit the 'from'-field to something one wants? If so, I think it will still be useful for me (and maybe more) to have it in the web UI.

Script logevent_email_address.sh had to be configured from the command line, e.g. the from address had to be hardcoded into the script itself. Not very convenient, I have to admit. A much better alternative would be if one could edit the from address within the web interface as you suggested.
Thus email_from_is_1st_recipient.sh was born! Now the 1st recipient (as entered in the web interface) is also the from address. E.g. you will get the email from yourself and have the option to send it to three additional email addresses.
Since I cannot test this right now, please check if it is working. Download META version 2.0.01 to get the latest script database.
have fun

Removed your version 2.0 META module, installed the one above ^, set the options and rebooted. But I have to say that I didn't get it working yet, tried all options. Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but I don't think so...
Hopefully you'll get it working, but anyhow I'm happy with your effort !

I checked email notification using my own email server. Luckily "from" is not a problem (not checked as machine only accepts emails from local domain in the first place). Nevertheless, the patch is working as expected. Looks like you are facing a different problem.
