I own a N5200B-PRO FW 2.00.18.4 I don't remember the ram amount, and I don't see it in the admin console. I can open and check if needed. PSU is almost new. It is pretty stock other than that. 5x1.5To Pro disks around 30k hours, 2 with warnings, RAID6 setup. One spare disk.
Main goal would be to have it working for windows 10. Currently windows 10 reject it as it uses SMB1 and not SMB2.
I see various ways to tackle my issues.
-Access it through linux and backup (I have a spare 10To lying around). Sell or trash it after? -Install a firmware or module that could work for SMB2: would be great. -Trick windows, why not? Edit: I ticked one more option in SMB and it works -What happen if I purchase some newer hardware like a N5810pro or something else? Edit: I would be interested to know but for now I will discard this option) Will it read the RAID6 array with no issue? Drawbacks expensive at first (and more expensive when I change disks) and I am not sure I want to continue with Thecus and RAID6. I was considering RAID1 8 or 10To and it might be a different brand too.
Any constructive advice is welcome. loopingz
