Works OK here with an old (modified) Xbox running XBMC! The reason you can't enter port 4920 is because it's an invalid port according to ushare: Warning : Only Dynamic or Private Ports can be used (from 49152 through 65535)

Do Thecus N2100 modules install on an XBox (with an install script?) and how does it work with the web interface?

Do Thecus N2100 modules install on an XBox (with an install script?) and how does it work with the web interface? No, I watch movies on my TV with my Xbox. The Xbox is running XBMC ( www.xboxmediacenter.de/) which fetches the movies from the N2100 with the help of uShare. Mathijs

I see! Sounds like an excellent combination. I think I need to consider getting an xbox... :-)

I have a Xbox and Xbox 360. I assume your Xbox has to be modded to install XBMC. What kind of mod chip do you have installed in yours? I am trying to see if this is worth the effort.
Does uShare works with ripped DVD (video_ts) ? The same question applies to XBMC.
The original Xbox does not have any optical output so even if uShare and XBMC can play a ripped DVD stored on the N2100, i believe you won't get any Digital Dolby or DTS from the movie.
