Hi there,
is there any step by step help, how to install this twonky module on an N2100? By the way...how will I setup the twonky running on the N2100? Is there a webinterface?
In the description / lincense on, onbeat.dk/thecus/index.php/N2100_Module:_TWONKYMEDIA, if found that we have a 30-day trial period on TwonkyMedia. Is it the same on the N2100 module and, if yes, is it possible to aktivate the module to a non trial version?
Thx....because I thinking about to leave my N1200 behind, to get a real working NAS MediaServer with Twonky.
Regards, Danizo

=> Yes, you can manage all by the web interface.
The 30-day trial period on TwonkyMedia, is it the same on the N2100 module?
=> No, the period begins when you activate/configure the twonky module.

So...there is a way to activate the module, running on the N2100, just like it is like running a twonky on a standard PC? On the webinterface is a place to insert a license key from Twonky?
Two more questions...(sorry:))
Is the webinterface for the twonky module, part of the standard N2100 webinterface? or...a standalone webinterface like to one I know from Twonky on my PC?
I like to stream music and pictures from the Twonky Module to my PS3. (Mediabolic doesn´t work for me. On my N1200!!) TwonkyMedia from my PC works without any problem. Is there a way, also to see album arts from the N2100 Twonky module, streaming to my PS3? (If yes...what kind of album art, albumart.jpg? folder.jpg etc.)
Thanks for your help....

You can put your twonky licence key in the web interface, without it, you re in the trial period (twonky register your nas mac adress on their server).
The web interface is the standard twonky one. To access it you can go into the thecus module management (twonkymedia section) or just enter the web url : http://MyNasNameOrIp:9000

Great...!!!
Today I try one last point to maybe fix the N1200 Mediabolic problem. If this doesn´t work....the N2100 with Twonkey Media will be my next try. Great to hear that there´s a good support for the Twonky Module in form of you.
Thanks...

Good morning !! well....the "building swap area" setup is completed. 6 hours !! for Raid1 with two 1TB Hitachi HDD´s ;D Also it seem´s to work perfect. I tried to add one new folder for testing reason and copied several folders including about 2 GB to the N2100. No problem....!! yeah Today I´m going to try your twonky module. Is there any "how to" for setup the module. Or could you give me some hints, before I´m going to do something wrong UpNP must be active on the standard N2100 setup? for example... Thx....best regards, DANIZO

Nothing special to say, twonky is simple to use. UpNP must be active on the standard N2100 setup? Good question, mine is on but I never test it off...

Hi there, well the module is running and THE BEST, my PS3 finds the TwonkyModule! YES ...but I still have problems with my Raid Setup. After rebuilding the Raid over Night. It end´s in a heathly mode. Installing your module, added one folder, Raid again "degraded" I´m now trying to run with only one HD. 1 TB is still more I need, so the second HD will go in my PC System. It´s already formating the JBOD 1 HD. On my PS3, I found the Twonky with several folders like, album, artist etc. Is there a way, just to set it up, so I´m going to see all standard folders in my music folder? Like, A/B/C/D/SAMPLER etc.? How I have to setup the Twonky for those folder? Thx again for your help...

That's not the good topic but try to add your second drive into your n2100, format them in jbod and, after, in raid mode (0 or 1).

Well first I would like to stay with one HDD. IT´s also a question of temperatur with 2 HDD. It´s o.k with one, I´m going to save the data twice on my mainsystem.
Bit here´s my new problem. I added, by explorer of networkdrive mapping, several folders to my N2100 folder. 4 mainfolders with something about 10 underfolders each. I restarted the twonky module, still using the main "music" folder to share into the network. No the twonky module doesn´t find ANY !! files!! I restarted it several times, rebuild the database, set rescan to 0 etc. nothing!?! What wrong now? The files are all set and there when I check form the PC. Disk in running healthy...what now wrong? hmmm....

Hi, Hopefully someone out there can help me I've been trying to configure the module and any changes I make to the music, picture or video trees seem to be lost after the forced restart. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong? I'm just trying to do something as straightforward as removing the Genre node from the musictree section but this always reappears when I perform the required restart. Can someone also confirm how to block folders from being searched/browsed? I want to stop Twonky from searching my usbcopy folder for example; I use that as a sort of dump of files while I retag their ID3 tags or otherwise sort them out into my file structure. And finally, is it normal for Twonky to rescan the content every time it's restarted (even when it's left to complete a scan before any restart is performed)? Thanks for any help and sorry for the long winded post.
