Hi! I would like to connect my N2100 to my streaming client Philips SLA5500. For this the YeyBox needs to bei ready for UPnP A/V. I thought of adding this to the box using a module. Is it possible? Are there modules like that? Any ideas? Thanks...

Unfortunately not.
Upnp protocol only able to open ports (not to share the media).
To use your media client (Philips SLA5500 for example) you must install a software on the server (which have the media). (This soft is supplied by the client manufacturer)
The only modules available for the thecus are the Blog and the BT one.
Keep in mind that Thecus uses Arm architecture.

How much would you pay for this function? Twonky Vision www.twonkyvision.com/ has TwonkyMediaServer for USD 25, which is DLNA certified. If Thecus can get Twonky Vision to port their software onto Thecus N2100, then all N2100 owners have an option to upgrade thru a third-party software module.

I know Twonky, so I thought it must be possible to make N2100 work with Twonky. 25 USD would be okay for it. The point ist, that all my media is stored on the N2100 and I don't want to install another PC running 24/7. Mainly because of the extra power consumption but also because the N2100 fullfills all my other demands. Besides I discovered, that Twonky can be installed on other NAS Systems i.e. Bufalo TeraStation - so it should be possible on N2100 too, schouldn't it?

Spiken, I emailed TwonkyVision Support on two occasions last week in regards to an update on the communications between Thecus and themselves and they were totally unaware of any such talks. I really hope Thecus release a TwonkyVision Module as I have bought my N2100 in the hope that a module would be created.

Why don't Twonky just release a module themselves? Will there be any legal issue?
