I have a N0503 and I've only just started using it. I tried Web Disk, to copy files off a USB hard disk drive that's connected via the USB port on the front. It's been a horrible experience, compared to my Synology DS-210+. Problems:
1. You can't see sub-folders - if you select a folder that has multiple other subfolders in it, web disk doesn't show anything. 2. Cannot move folders - due to (1), you can't select a whole folder to copy/move. You have to create the folder in the destination drive, then copy/move the files over. 3. No progress bar - there's nothing to indicate that the file is being copied.
Basically, Thecus' Web Disk is a million years behind Synology's File Station. I suppose hoping for a new version is pretty much pointless, seeing how bad Thecus' tech support is. I'm regretting buying the N0503, because the DS-210+ was slightly hot (the N0503 is also very hot; my Caviar Black 2TB reaches 53deg C in it!).
