I'm getting close to filling my N3200 with RAID5, and was looking to plug in an eSATA drive to give it more breathing room.
I understand that the data on this drive will not be a part of RAID and therefore if the drive fails I'll loose the data. But that's ok. I'll be using the drive to hold all the data that isn't valuable.
I'll probably buy a 1TB or 2TB drive.
But is there anything I should know first? Any "gotchas" I should be aware of?
I understand the drive will be accessible via a share, and I assume it'll be just one share for the entire drive.
Will the drive spin-down when not in use?
