Hi, I want to be able to browse the folder structure of the NAS - not just the folders I create but the system folders; how do I do this?
Regards and thanks.

Well if you are running Windows: WinSCP.
I'm sure there will be a version for other platforms.

I am using teh following settings: Host Name: ThecusN5200 Port Number: 21 User Name: the main administrative username for the Thecus Password: the main administrative password for the Thecus File Protocol: FTP (the only one I can achieve a connection with) I can connect with 'ThecusN5200' but it then always states 'Access Denied.' I cannot get beyond this - any ideas? I'm not a network engineer! Regards Skier

Hi Peter,
Now this is testing! I have PHP File Manager Module installed and am not keen on it.
I now have WinSCP working and I like the application and being able to view the folders without having to run a module on teh unit. However, I can find no way to view the system file structure, only the folders that are normally visible and those I create. Early days but this is taking far too long for me to persevere much more.
I'll give the SSHD and SYSUSER modules a try. Many thanks for your assistance.

Hi Skier,
if You use WinSCP in FTP mode, then the behaviour is like any other FTP client - and access via FTP is restricted to the created shares (and predefined shares)
If You want to view the whole system structure with PHPFILEMGR, then You have to configure it after the first start: 1) press config (most left button in the file list) 2) set "File Manager Root" to / 3) press "Save Configurations"
The Look and feel of the module is not perfect but it does what it should do and I never thought about giving it a more nice GUI.
br Peter

Hi Peter,
I have configured PHPFILEMGR as you outlined and that works beautifully. Many thanks. Further question for you in a seperate thread.
