I have been tweaking my mind as to: How can I install the ralink rt61 mini-pci wlan card (Gigabyte WL01GS) in managed mode with WPA-PSK encryption. According to Thecus, they do not support this (duh!!) due to lack of processing power I was thinking about something crazy like: - install debian ARM on the raid mounted devices (chroot or something) - download all the required tools to build/install (make install and all that stuff) the drivers on this OS - create a module or start-up / shutdown script which could start the wlan managed mode outside of the fw kernel 2.6.9 The latter to prevent messing about with the build in web mgt WLAN settings etc. Please help me figure this one out, since I would like to try this out.
