N5200 would not (respectfully) let us log in when addreesed from behind a router...? Configuration is as follows: N5200 Firmaware 2.00.08, with following modules: - Pure-FTPd server add-on V2.00.07.2 - Thecus FTP Access V2.00.00 - SSHD The N5200 if connected to the LAN through eth0 (so-called WAN interface!). LAN is a private network with a router (firewall + NAT) to connect the (www) outside world. A FTP server is declared and configured with users and dedicated folders (thanks Andreas Vogel) etc... and everything works perfectly from WITHIN the LAN. When accessed from outside (internet) through the (hopefuly) properly configured NAT/Router, we can access the N5200 and start a loggin session. Looks like this: ftp> open datab.valid.ch Connected to xxxx.com. 220 ProFTPD 1.3.2b Server (ProFTPD) [::ffff:84.16.81.9] User (xxxx.com:(none)) : test 331 Password required for test Password : 530 Incorrect Login. Identification failed. Same of course appears with Filezilla or TotalCommander FTP Client etc.. We have added a default route at the N5200 so it can directly bind with the router. No success.... We are stucked on this problem since 2 night, anyone to give us a little (sandwitch and) hope in HOW to solve ? Thanks !

I assume Your router configuration is wrong and You connect to the wrong ftp server. The Welcome Message of Your session shows that You connect to a ProFTPD server, but the welcome message of the Thecus with the Pureftpd server looks like :
So check Your ftp rules and settings in Your router. br Peter
