Hai peeps,
I was looking for a way to install SABnzbd on my thecus n5200. So I went looking on the internet for tutorials/howto's but couldn't find any so I thought by myself I'm going to write one my own:
Keep in mind: I'm not a linux expert, and my English is very bad.
First follow these instructions:
www.onbeat.dk/thecus/index.php/N5200_Debian_Chroot_EnvironmentI've added and change some things:
Edit /etc/resolv.conf and put "nameserver <IP DNS Server>" in it.
Edit /etc/hosts and put in <ip address N5200> localhost
I start chroot debian with the following startup command:
chroot /raid0/data/debian /bin/bash --login
Now we have a chroot debian environment
Install the following applications:
apt-get update
apt-get install debian-archive-keyring (new keys)
Extra:
apt-get install vim (vi editor)
apt-get install iputils-ping (network tools like; ping, etc)
To install SABnzbd I’ve used the following page:
stray-notes.blogspot.com/2008/10/install-sabnzbd-on-debian-linux_14.htmlInstall the following applications that are needed by SABnzbd:
apt-get install python2.5-cheetah
apt-get install python2.5-yenc
apt-get install python-feedparser
apt-get install python-OpenSSL
apt-get install unrar (Its better to download this from rarlabs)
apt-get install unzip
apt-get install par2
Download the latest SABnzbd version from (there is no apt-get):
sourceforge.net/project/platformdownload.php?group_id=207766gunzip SABnzbd-0.4.11-src.tar.gz
tar xvf SABnzbd-0.4.11-src.tar
cd SABnzbd-0.4.11-src
Start SABnzbd to see if it works:
./SABnzbd.py
Goto: http://<ip thecus5200>:8080/
