Hi folks - my system runs at about 48-50 degrees so I got a couple of fans to help cool it better. One is a replacement for the noisy 40mm fan that comes w/ the unit. The second is a 60mm fan that I'd like to mount on the hard drive cage like folks on this forum have done before. My question is - can I use a Y cable and connect both the 3 pin connectors from these fans to the Y cable whose other end goes into the original 3pin socket on the board for the 40mm fan? Will it draw too much current and fry the unit? Thanks!
PS: Also, if anyone has any ideas on how to secure the 60mm fan to the drive cage without having to drill holes, I'd be very interested!
