Some basic (noobie-like) help required.
I am trying to get my PC/home network to recognise a LAN-ethernet capable printer using the N3200 LAN port. But I am not setting up the addresses correctly (I think) and having no luck.
PC <-> Dlink router <-> WAN - N3200 - LAN <-> Printer with Ethernet (Canon Pixma 850)
PC address 192.168.0.198 DL router 192.168.0.1 with IP address range 192.168.0.100-199 N3200 WAN 192.168.0.180 N3200 LAN should be what?? currently it is still the 192.168.2.254 as per default. Tried putting it into the 192.168.0.xxx range but fails because "other Network Interface Device in the same segment".
Should IP Sharing mode be enabled on the N3200 WAN options? Should I use the DHCP server config on the N3200 LAN option.
I sure this should be easy to figure out, but I can't!! Any help appreciated. Thanks in advance, drij

N3200 is acting as router, so you should not try the same subnet in LAN. That is, if WAN is 192.168.0.X, then LAN can not be in 192.168.0.0 network. Leave it to 192.168.2.254 and DHCP offers address to your printer.
