Is this possible? If so what am I missing in the formatting? I tried drive 1 raid and 2 spare, 3 raid and 4 spare, but that only gave me 470 ish drive space and there are 4 equal 500gb drives installed. Is it not possible to have 2 separate raid 1 configurations in the 4100+? I.E. drive 1 and 2 are raided as raid 1 and drives 3 and 4 are raided as another raid 1 setup.

OK this is a very late reply but just in case: you can't have multiple RAID configuration on an N4100+ and you can't have a RAID1 configuration with more than 2 HDDs.
The 1st point is clearly stated in the NAS doc, the 2nd one and the doc has not been updated.

Correcting my last sentence, one should read: "The 1st point is clearly stated in the NAS doc, the 2nd one has been confirmed by TheCus but the doc has not been updated. Patrice
