I am having the N3200 for a few days now and all i have is trouble. First i put in 3 x hdd maxtor STM380215AS. Build up a raid5 and it worked. But when i copied data from the server to the N3200, the N3200 gives a beep signal and was saying on the screen "System No Response". The only way to get it down was to pull the powerplug. After starting up again the N3200 is rebuilding the raid5 configuration. This happend a couple of times now. Now this afternoon ,again the beep signal and "System No response" but now after powering up again, it says "raid N/A" Starting up the webbrowser the first thing i saw was "please create a raid" Luckely i was just testing so no really importent data is lost. Can this be a problem of the harddrive's or is there something else. Firmware version is 1.00.01

I have got a new firmware version 1.00.2.2 But that didn't do the trick. Still getting the "No Responce Error" . Thecus asked me to check the three harddrives for errors. Did that and there where no errors on the three harddrives. The last thing to do is to get an RMA and sent it back.

Hey guys
...I too had the same problem, whenever I transfer large amount of files at the same time I get "System No Respond". Even with files no more than 2GB I get the beep and had to unplug the system. I searched through this forum and others and still no solution.
However, I tried to give it one more shot before I bring it back in the morning. The box came with firmware 1.00.01 I followed the manual and build Raid 0 and config the box then I upgraded to 1.00.03. from Thecus Website. That's when the problem started. Actually I didn't transfer large files in previous firmware so I don't actually know.
So I decided to reflashed the 1.00.3 firmware again, build the Raid, and reflashed again to get the media server and other menu. Then I went through the usual box config of FTP etc.
I started to transfer larger video files.....2GB passed.....7GB passed.....10GB passed.....and as I'm typing right now 456.91GB.....and it's going pretty smooth right now, no error!!!!!
I hope this will come through 'cause I would hate to have to return it....
So if you get the "system no respond" or freezes maybe you can try to reflash the latest firmware gain then build the raid and reflashed..
Hope it works for you guys

Hi, round about 6 month i have also the same trouble with my N3200. Freezing with "system no respond" by coping large files or much files. Like you (janph76) told i tried to use 1.00.3. Again Freeze after only 3minutes *g* LOL I think its a new record. I'm relley sure that a Mainboard replacement (like Thecus Support) told will not help. So, relating to german law my seller has 3 times to repair, after that i can cancel the order ... We will see...

Hey guys....
Here's the news.....after the reflashed...it went fine for a couple of days and after that the problem came back again....
So...I got it replaced....but I made sure it worked as expected. I went through a few n3200 and found the perfect one. Luckily I was still in a 7 days exchanged period.
My advice, get it replace if you can guys, without problem it's a good NAS!
