I have a N2100 with media server installed, but I have problems accessing the media server from Microsoft Media Player 11 (WMP 11) running on a Windows Vista Ultimate PC in my home network.
The symptoms are the following: On the Windows Vista PC I can see "Moltke: Macrovision Media Server" under Network (Moltke is the Host Name of the N2100). But in WMP 11 the Media Server can not be seen. Another PC sharing its media can be seen in WMP 11, so I assume no problem with the setting of WMP?
Is the setup of the Thecus 2100 Media Server correct? The setup is: * Firmware has been upgraded to lastest version: 2.01.09 * A menu item "Media Server"exists i menu Network, with the setting: - Media server: enable - Shared media folders: iTunes, Public (both checked, rest of the folders are not checked) * A couple of test mp3-files are located in the iTunes and Public directories * I have tried to install the DLNA_1.0.01 firmware module dated 2008.02.18 from the Thecus download section on the web. But this do not seem to be installed, because it is not added to the list of modules when I upload. Is this because the module is allready included in the main firmware version 2.01.09 also dated 2008.02.18?
Suggestions and good ideas regarding what to do are were welcome.
Kind regards, Jacob
