Hi,
I have used the NFSD module (http://www.onbeat.dk/thecus/index.php/N2100_Module:_NFSD) for a long time, without a problem.
But recently I upgraded my Thecus firmware to 2.01.09 and therefore also upgraded the NFSD module to 2.1.00, plus some other modules.
Now whenever my Linux box tries to automount a directory via NFS on the Thecus N2100, the mouting takes a long time, 2 to 3 seconds per mount point, and more than 10 seconds in total. Some applicatios don't like this and timeout before the mounting is finished, and then things go wrong in the application..
There seems to be a timeout somewhere in portmap, but it don't know how to diagnose this efficiently.. At least a packet sniffer showed me that the 2 to 3 seconds delay happens during a RPC call between the client PC and the Thecus
I wanted to know if anybody else experienced this slowness problem and knows how to solve it?
Regards
