Thecus n2100 noisey as hell with default 40mm fan so I put 2 x 60mm fan and wired in a zalman fan mate 2. Also swapped the 128mb dimm for a 512mb    |

That has to be one of the most discrete fan mods i've seen!
I assume you are a magician with a dremel then?
I might have put another fan at the other side, but the 60mm fans definitely look good.
What is your temps?

60mm hole saw for the win.
no room at other side due to the ram being there.
no real stress testing yet but with the zalman on lowest setting

cool, that is definitely an improvement on the 40's i am getting.
I had a look at doing the same trick, but i have the wifi antenna and card in that space so it would be a very tight squeeze. I think i'll look into the back fan.
