Depending on the installed drive, heat buildup can be a problem. Has anyone got any tips on how to reduce it ? I've noticed that the fan draws air in from the top and pumps out the base. I guess this was done to reduce 'fluff', but I think it will also reduce the efficiency. I will try reversing the fan direction to see if it makes a difference. [Update] Well, I just opened it up and turned over the fan and re-attached it. Then I realised all we have to do is turn the whole unit upside down ! I read somewhere that a fan was more efficient extracting air from a case, so I put the fan back the way it was. Now my N1200 is upside down, there is a lot more airflow through it.
