Thanks kniteowl for the info and chillware for your interest.
My N5200 is just outside its 12-month warranty but my smooth-talking retailer has talked the local Thecus distributor into looking at it under warranty. I asked if there is a special jumper or something that will reset the thing but he said they just replace the whole unit.
I wonder what everybody is doing with their dead Thecus boxes?
