I finally got a new Thecus to replace the previous DOA one.
I'm happy to say that this particular unit is behaving a LOT better in every way. However, I'm having trouble with NFS sharing. My Dvico Tvix 4100 is unable to connect to Thecus via NFS, although it's able to connect to CIFS/SMB share.
Some posters have reported that NFS is broken in 2.00.01 but is it still broken in 2.00.05?

Following the discussions in the forums.hexus.net thecus support forums some users reports that the NFS handling is fixed in the 2.00.03 BETA Firmware. However, If You want to use modules then it's not a choice, cause in 2.00.03 module handling is broken. FW 2.00.05 I have not found. br Peter

Whoops! That was a typo; meant to write 2.00.03, not .05, sorry.
.03 BETA... how do I recognize if my box has a beta version or the final version of .03?

There is no final version of 2.00.03 yet. You don't see it on the box. Available FW can be found here: www.thecus.com/DownloadsThe 2.00.03 is in the beta section: www.thecus.com/Downloads/betaUsually thecus will have then a different version number for the final release. br Peter
