I new it had to be abad idea .Went through the upgrade process and everything went OK, but after reboot i have no contact with the WAN/LAN interface and the raid has disappeared.
Tried the factory reset script idea, but not having a unix system had to edit the script with a hex editor, but the unit just seems to ignore the USB stick , wherever i put it.
any ideas ? if anyone has a working script set for 2.00.01 it would be useful.

Hello
I have exactly the same error... have you found a solution for this... or has everyone a solution?
Kind Regards Gianni

I have been communicationg with thecus support who have sent me several scripts to reload via the USB prt, but nothing works. The unit boots up, but ignores the USB stick. Also the front panel controls are inoperative.
The unit boots up, but is locked away in it own little world
Rotating display reads
WAN N/A SYS FAN OK LINK Aggr: RAID NONE
I have asked if a replacement flash disk would fix it, awaiting reply, or whether i need to reject it on the supplier.

I have a working factory_test.sh for FW 2.00.01 which I used to downgrade successfully from 2.00.03.
Make sure your USB stick is formatted with FAT and put factory_test.sh and N5200upgrade.2.00.01.bin into the root directory of the stick.
I plugged my stick into the rear USB port near the eSATA port.

I have broken my N5200 too by installing 2.00.01 using the script and USB. The solution doesn't work and is quite old too because it has dead links and for 1.00.07. I went from 1.00.08 to 2.00.01 using the web interface. This partially worked but lost all the users and ip addresses and wouldn't save users. It didn't manage to loose any of the RAID settings (this came soon after when I did the USB upgrade). The inability to save users state happened a couple of months ago when one of my Western Digital 500GB RE drives suddenly disappeared from the RAID (for about the third time this year). I have decided to ditch the WD drives and have ordered Seagate 1TB ES.2 drives. Seeing all the data has been backed up I thought I would (foolishly) upgrade to 2.00.01. If I can't get the N5200 working then I am going to have to use it as a door stopper. The Seagate drives will make good paper weights. It's only money.

I all,
I have just upgraded to 2.00.4, and it worked great for a day, now i have exactly same issue as the person who started this thread! no WAN no RAID!
USB flash doesn't work either!
What is the solution? Mine is still under warranty, whats the process for returning the box?

Thecus support is telling me to send the unit in to have the Disk on Module (DOM) replaced. It's just outside warranty but the reseller has talked Thecus into doing this under warranty. Very generous of them (NOT) seeing it's their firmware that caused the faulure. Just as well I'm not running a business. I am hoping that the new DOM will recognise the RAID configuration and not loose any data. I have copied the data to various drives and PCs but one PC has had a RAID failure and the data copied to it is gone. I wish the Thecus box wasn't so fragile.
