Re Sleep Mode. I have 5 Seagate (10 series) 500GB Enterprise series drives in my 5200 with FW 2.00.03. I have enabled scheduled power management and it worked last night. Thecus shut down at 24:00 and started up again at 09:00 this morning. Wake on LAN does not appear to work though. No attempt to access the Thecus after midnight would bring it back to life, not even pinging it!! I need to read manual also to discover what the power setting (30-60-90-etc minutes) does under Disk management? cheers, Jet.

Hi Midknight Yup, sorry about that. I'm usually very well up on IT but I bought the 5200 about 2 Months ago and have had little chance to play with it due pressure of work etc. Finally getting to grips with it now hence all the questions that you see me asking here. Despite years of computer builds and repairs etc, I have had little to do with networking, linux, and port forwarding so I am finding it a steep learning curve. Getting there slowly but surely now. I have to confess to being disappointed that somebody obviously found one of my questions so stupid that they chose to smite me (Karma -1) I have always tried to help people and taken the view that there is no such thing as a dumb question.. BTW, I don't think the sleep function is working but am not 100% sure. I have mine set to 90 mins, but when I attempted remote access earlier from work the Thecus responded instantly with no hint that it was wakeing from sleep. However, I did not try to access the drives as I have not mastered that remotely just yet. Best regards, Jet
