Hello all.
I am planning to upgrade to the new released firmware (2.00.01).
What modules should disable and/or uninstall? Are there any other settings to change for the least hick-ups in upgrading?
Are there any settings I should take care to backup?
Thanks!

Hi greybard, I've done the upgrade from 1.00.10 to 2.00.01 recently and everything worked smoothly and without any problems. The only module really worth beeing disabled is the IMGDUP module. All other modules shouldn't disturb the upgrade process. At least leave the SYSUSER, SSHD and if you have serial access the SERGETTY module enabled. You might want to disable all other modules as a precaution though again, it's not needed. Good luck... Andreas P.S. Please remember that NFS is not working with 2.00.01.

I have just upgraded to 2.00.01. In contrast to what Omega posted, NFS works for us, using the thecus system as an NFS server and accessing it from various Linux machines.

How many NFS shares did you mark to be exported?
If it's only one, then everything is OK, more than one - disaster!

Fortunately, we only need one NFS share to export to all users. Under the single NFS share, we created directories for different users with different user and group ID. We don't see a need to create multiple NFS shares.
