It seems the new Daylight Savings Time implementation in the US is not accounted for in the firmware. I thought the now .08 firmware might have update this but my experience using US Eastern Time is it is not.
Hopefully I am missing something. I have sent a note to Thicks but as of yet no response.
I do not see a file which is editable to adjust this.
Any insights?

Hi, I had a problem (NZ UST+12h) after daylight saving. Updates were always wrong.
Tried changing time server and going to another +12h item in the list but none fixed the problem.
Went to manual for a few days and then back to a time server and the problem has gone.

My understanding is in Linux distributions there are a set of time zone files that contain the information regarding offset from the NTP server time information including when Daylight savings time starts and ends.
By entering a manual time without updates from the server you can get around this issue but you will not get time adjustments when the local pc clock drifts. You als may see the time change when the DST kicks in at the wrong time.
I had tried the same as you but in my case this is not working after going back to the server. I think if we could get the files from another distro that has updated for the recent changes that this could be resolved.

Found the instructions on how to update the timezone files at the link below. All went well till trying to convert the file using "zic" command to convert the file to the correct format for Linux to use. The n5200 does not have this command. Unfortunately it is my only Linux box. However if others are having the same problem and can run the conversion hopefully this will help. www.linux-watch.com/news/NS6300294422.html
