After upgrading from 1.00.6.5 to 1.00.7 it seems that I've lost all passwords except from the admin and sys user (using SYSUSER module) - it is not possible to login via http, ftp or samba. Deleting the user and adding the user again solves the problem - of course all ACL's have to be rebuild again. I had installed following modules on 1.00.6.5: SSHD SYSUSER META TWONKYMEDIA Modules were running fine after upgrade and login via ssh and the sys user was possible. No idea what happend - now I'm in the process of rebuilding all users br Peter

Hi Peter,
I cannot agree, that this is a general problem. In one case the acls of one folder were not set córrectly, so I had to re-apply my acl settings. My users were still known with their specifiy passwords.
Prior to upgrading the firmware to version 1.00.7 my firmware was 1.00.65.

Thanks giessle, so may be this was a one time effect, related to some special configuration I had - unfortunatly I can't retry it. br Peter

The password relevant files are /etc/samba/passdb.tdb and /etc/samba/secrets.tdb.
As far as I know (and in the old upgrade scripts I've seen it) the samba configuration is completely saved and restored during the upgrade.
I fear that we'll never know why it was not working for Peter, but if it doesn't work for someone else, please tell us....
Andreas
