I've got a drive that SMART is saying is having problems - i.e. swap it before it dies. One problem - i've lost the key and i've locked all the drive bays.. :-)
Does anyone know if this is a "standard" key and what it would be called so i can buy a replacement from somewhere!!
I need to get one asp before my raid dies....
Appreciate any help
Dave

Hi Dave
This isn't the answer you're looking for, but I did the same thing and realised that even with the bay 'locked' you can pull the drive tray out (without breaking anything). I then undid the nut on the locking bit and removed the small piece of metal that 'locks' the drive so it could be re-inserted without a problem.
It may sound like a difficult/dangerous thing to do, but its really easy and you can do it in seconds. Obviously it means that drive cannot be locked again, but in my case that's really not a problem.
Good luck with resolving your issue man!
