Hi all, I have my thecus now for three months or so and am using some modules by Omega but one thing still eludes me and I'm probably just not understanding the manual or what you people are saying. I'm really confused about the WAN/LAN ports (I have the plain N5200 not the Roustor one). Right now I have the Thecus connected through the WAN Port to my router and my pc also on my router, this way I can easily access the N5200. Now I'm connected to the Internet through a modem (it sucks ) and don't really NEED the router anymore and now wonder if I can directly connect the Thecus and my PC and what needs to be set on the admin pages to make it work. Right now I couldn't make it work just by connecting the pc to either the WAN or LAN port. Or do I need a crosswired cable?

You need a crosswired or a small switch - and I would use the WAN port for it. br Peter
