In the Firmware Release Notes for 1.00.07 ( www.thecus.com/Downloads/N5200_Release_Note_v10007.pdf ) you can read under 'Limitations' No. 15. : "15. WebDisk : Only UTF-8 file name is supported." I don't know this feature and in the documentation there is nothing about that. How can I use this under WinXP?

Hi terra, get your glasses and read again: N5200 User's manual, chapter 6: "Using WebDisk", page 57 pp. Andreas

Sorry Andreas and thanks for your answer ! I havn't write the Question comprehensible (but now I changed the thread subject above too): With Internet Explorer 6 you can get on File > Open > xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx and select the option Open as Webfolder. This doesn't work with N5200. Select Network-Environment > Add Network Ressource > Select other Network Ressource doesn't work too. Or (better) how can I use the WebDisk-Feature as a Network-Drive, with a real Drive-Letter? Is it possible with third party tools?

Hi terra, OK, now you made clear that you can read manuals and your question now is really interesting.... I just tried what you're describing and I must tell you: you're right - it doesn't work! First of all I'm not 100% sure if Thecus really want's to support this mode of operation as I thought all the time that WebDisk is just accessing the shares using the Web browser. But what you're (we're) trying is accessing the shares using the Windows Explorer as a Web Folder. Although this might be the same protocol WEBDav (I'm not sure about this) accessing the shares as Web Folders is not working. Of course I tied to find out why it is not working and when I look to the apache log file I can see error messages everytime I try to connect to a share as a Web Folder. The log files are here: /opt/apache/logs. Here are the error messages: [Mon Feb 19 15:32:05 2007] [error] [client 1.2.3.4] script '/opt/apache/htdocs/_vti_inf.html' not found or unable to stat [Mon Feb 19 15:32:05 2007] [error] [client 1.2.3.4] File does not exist: /opt/apache/htdocs/_vti_bin cat: /app/fsck_flag: No such file or directory I haven't had the time to check the Internet about these errors though. So just now it seems that this error is only because of a problem with the apache server on the N5200. Andreas
