As I do have a Cyberbox (4x IDE HD tower with one USB connection) I would like to know whether the N5200 does support USB hubs or multiple partitions on an USB HD ....
Thanks for the feedback. nlrela

1) multiple partitions on a USB harddisk is no problem, all of them get mounted
2) Why do you think an USB hub would cause any errors? I could try if you want....

Thanks for your answer.
With firmware 1.00.6.5 I can not see any NTFS partitions on an external usb drive (when I still had version 1.00.5 I could read the partitions due to your mod).
Now I have formatted the drives with ext3 instead of NTFS and I do see the drives on my network and I even do have read access. I would have prefered not to format the drives cause I had to organize some temporary space for the data.
From Thecus support I got by the way the answer that multiple partitions are not supported by the N5200 (?!?)

Nlrela, I cannot reproduce what you're describing. I've checked again the code and the only difference between 1.00.05 and 1.00.06.5 is that they removed the buggy mount options like I proposed. Just to check if you're right, I've connected one of my USB drives to the N5200. The first partition with vfat and the second one with NTFS, both are mounted. Please try again and note that mounting the drives needs for each partition about 10 seconds because of the auto copy feature. Just to be sure wait a minute and the type df or mount and you should see all partitions mounted. Regarding the Thecus statement: maybe they meant that the N5200 itself doesn't support more than one "partition" or RAID array. Otherwise they are definitely wrong as the code does it right! Andreas
