I am hoping this is a simple problem and I doing something incorrectly...
I just got my 4100+ today. I put in the drives and plugged everything in. The first thing I wanted to do was install the latest firmware. I downloaded the latest version whith is a .bin file to my mac desktop. From the admin control panel for the NAS I selected upgrade firmware and chose the file on my desktop and hit OK.
No window popped up as the documentation suggested would - I ensured pop up blocking was off.
A new page opened with a black box with what looks like a progress bar space and a OK button appear. If I highlight the black box "System firmware upgrade fail : " appears.
What am I doing wrong?
Thanks

I'm not sure where you got the firmware from but as far as I am aware, there has been no firmware update for the 4100+; there certainly isn't anything on the Thecus download site for it.

That may be it then I wondered why the title did not say 4100/4100+. I thought I had read that other 4100+ users had updated. I hope this was it. It would make me feel a lot better.
