Hello,
excuse my english. german is my home language.
i was running a N4100 with 2 Disk in Raid1. It was easily installed and run. I bought 2 additional disk. my first wish was, running this 2 disk in JBOD. Now i know, it wont work. Tonight ich build raid1 with 4 disk. The result was the same space like 2 disk before.
Is there anything special, to get raid1 with 4 disk?
greetings, michael

Hi Michael,
Why don't you run RAID-5? If you have 4 disks from the same size (and preferable brand en model), I think it's best to create a RAID-5 set. To be honest, I never have had RAID-1 with more than 2 disks so I can't answer your question about that more specific.

hi rookie, thank you. first i tried several test with raid1, but it didn`t run. Finaly i tried Raid5 - it seem the only(?) way to run 4 Disk in Raid.
i am not amused about the configuration web-application. what does "Reserve" mean and whow will it work?
thanks for this idea.
