Has anybody got any experience of building a 3 X 400GB disk RAID5 array on an N4100?? My build has been running for over 60 hours and is still only 75% finished the rate is slowing down and I'm not sure if this is usual or an error. E-mailed Thecus Support but no response which looking at this user group is not unusual!! Any info or Help would be appreciated.

What is your HDD model? firmware version? That might give a clue.

Wait until you try to build a Raid 5 array with 4 1tb drives. It took mine DAYS!! I hope I never have to rebuild it.

I just finished building my 4x750GB RAID5. Took 21 hours, a long time but this isn't something I expect doing often so I don't mind that much

I just rebuilt mine this week. Takes 2 1/2 days to build a raid 5 with 4 x 1TB drives. Worst part is I missed a checkbox the first time for one of the drives and didn't realize it so after waiting 2 1/2 days I had to do it all over again.
And to top it off I have to write back a little over 1TB of data to it now at 3.5 - 4 MB/sec. What a joke this thing is for network speeds.
