I am an unsophisticated user. I just purchased an Thecus N4350 and am trying to copy contents of a hard drive (e.g. music files) to the N4350. I have tried using USB copy but it erases all the files after the transfer is complete.
I have the following files when I view the Thecus N4350 - eSATAHDD, Home, NAS_Public, and usbhdd. I want everyone to be able to access the music files so I am using the NAS_Public folder.
When I connect the USB Harddrive to the N4350 I can see the files in usbhdd.
In USB copy settings in mode I select "Copy all files to folder below".
I select NAS_Public as my USB copy folder.
After I press USB Copy button on the front of the NAS it starts churning away in copying my music folders. I can access and see the music folders in the NAS_Public folder as the files are copied. Yet when the copies have been completed and I go in the NAS_Public folder there is nothing there nor is there anything stored in the N4350.
I would be greatly appreciate any help on resolving this issue. I am sure the answer is something simple that I am missing.
Best Regards, gwho
