Hi gurus, Shortly: got a brand new N2810 and, following the directives stated in the quick guide, I set during the setup a quite complex key, generated with an algorithm. The installer did not tell anything regarding this password, so everything seemed to be work fine. But... once the starting setup has been ended, I'm not able to log in into the NAS anymore. I assume I used some special character in my key that were not allowed... Obviously I'm absolutely sure that the password I'm using is the one set in the installation program. Now the quite obvious question: how to hard reset the N2810, given that I cannot access to the control panel and perform a reset to factory? There's a RESET button on the back, tried pressing it for 3 seconds, didn't work. Tried to keep it pressed for 10+ seconds, and again, no luck. Please help me/guide me, I need to perform a consistent backup of my laptop contents and the question is quite urgent Thanks again,

In case anyone could be interested... the issue has been solved. I opened a ticket to Thecus, they answered quickly publishing the following guide for hard reset on Thecus OS 7 devices: thecus.kayako.com/Knowledgebase/Article/View/674/0/how-to-reset-os7-to-factory-defaultBasically: - the RESET button is not used to perform an hard reset; - it's necessary to copy a software into a clean USB pen, and start the NAS with the pen plugged into any Usb port. Hope this could help. M.
