I have a N5500 Dual Dom. It was working just fine and during set up and getting to know the unit it was shut down and powered up numerous times using the power button. Then, I tried Wake On Lan. Enabled it, then shut the unit down to move it. It would not power up with the power button on the unit, I had to download a WOL utility, which did not actually wake the unit up, but it did wake up the NIC (link light started flashing), which allowed me to use the power button to turn the unit on. So, if this is how Wake On LAN works, count me out. I then disabled the WOL feature, figuring I would not use that again. Well, a few days later, I had to turn the unit off. Guess what? It will not power up again with the power button. The NIC lights up and shows connection to the switch, but no response from the power button. Now, the WOL program will not wake up the nic as I disabled the WOL feature on the Thecus. Note, when using the WOL utility, the NIC Link Light does flash as it receives traffic. So, now I have an expensive brick sitting on my desk with 4 TBs of data I can not access. Any ideas? I have included my config that I backed up just moments before powering it down. Attachments:

There are a handful of threads that are a mish mash of good and bad/non-information. The N7 charger situation is a mess and finding a charger that works well is almost impossible. It seems the cable you use is important, too
