Hi, I just found out that a FAT32 USB-Drive will be mounted without taking care of upper-case filenames! I had to manually mount the drive with: mount /dev/sdg1 /raid/usbhdd/usb3/1 -t vfat -o iocharset=utf8,umask=000,shortname=winnt The shortname part is missing in the usb.hotplug file. Can someone help me to modify the usb.hotplug file (maybe with a META script? I am a newbie in the linux world and I do not want to break my new N2100 Thanks, Arkam

have a look at meta script mount_any_usbdrive.sh; There a 2nd mount command is added to every existing mount to be able to access ext2, ext3 and hfs+ formatted drives. Adapting this script to your needs should not be to difficult.

Thanks, but I already looked at this script and I do not understand completely how it does it ... and what I have to change Can I add this winnt option for every drive type (fat, fat32, ext)? I suppose I shouldn't but I am not sure ...

add this line to the script sed -i 's/gid=99/gid=99,shortname=winnt/g' /app/bin/usb.hotplug it's not that difficult

What's the result? Did it work? Should this patch be added to meta script mount_any_usbdrive.sh? I have another pending update for META, e.g. I could integrate this as well.
