Hi i am trying this as none of my tickets are getting any answers from the Thecus website since upgrading my firmware on my 8800 and 8800 pro i am unable to join my devices to AD as they use to work before i keep getting the following error Incorrect administrator ID or password Fail to join ADS domain! do any of you have any suggestions :'(

Thank you to the guys at Thecus Peter they resolved the issue not sure what changed the way the workgroup worked in the firware version but changed the top setting to my workgroup and it worked hope this is of help to other people.

I have exactly the same problem with N4100PRO, after applying this firmware ADS join is not working anymore, it is failing to join . I dont understand your post how was it fixed, please advise..i'm desperate..

I logged call to the Thecus official support page also but nobody was answering there. Why Thecus is keeping that page anyway?
As nobody was helping me i found the solution to the issue myself after many long hours of desperite tries. The ADS join finally started to work when i changed the small/capital letters to the same as it was existing on the W3K domain server for server name, domain name and domain realms. Every letter should match the same capital as in Windows. When all letters matched with same capital the join was succesfull. This sounds stupid as with the previous firmware didnt have this problem.
Thecus support is very very poor, i will reconsider buying Thecus products in the future, probably will not buy anymore nothing for my company.

rookie: thanks for you post.
However i'm not happy and i'm angry at Thecus as they didnt bother to answer the issue. I suppose they found the problem AFTER i found it spending many many desperate hours on this. This is a production enviroment not home one, Thecus products and SUPPORT are not grown up yet, they are probably good only for home users and not prudction/business users. I still deffinetly wont buy anymore Thecus products. I will look for others who has better support and have higher quality products.
