Finally managed to get a hold of a N5200 pro, questions:
My 2ghz processor is showing the right speed but it giving a temp error in info 2.00.04, is this normal?
My old 1G memory that worked in my N5200 doesn't work in my Pro, I think I read there is a speed selection switch on the main board somewhere. Maybe it's set for 133 instead of 100 and that's the problem.
or do Pros have different memory requirements than the non-pros?
Sorry to have been gone so long but life is being a Chinese curse these day (too interesting). As for getting boards, there aren't many and they are expensive.
Might be more worth it to get a N5500, I've installed 3 and they are AMAZING!
I will check if I can lay my hands on any board below $300 USD, any more and it JUST ISN'T worth it!

My 2ghz processor is showing the right speed but it giving a temp error in info 2.00.04, is this normal? Yes, the N5200 modells do not provide this information, so it can't be read out (or better - I have not found it ;-) ) br Peter

Ok a few more question.
I can't seem to communicate with my APC SmartUPS, it's using a 24D Cable and used to work on my old 5200, I am hoping it's not a bad serial port...any way to check?
Next, should my DOM from my 5200 work in my 5200pro?
They look like they match.

Your UPS should work, cause it's the same firmware - and that leads to Your 2nd question - Yes, the DOM should also work. You may want to try the APCUPSD module : www.onbeat.dk/thecus/index.php/N5200_Module:_APCUPSDHowever if You have a non Pro Image on this DOM You might loose some pro functions (but I don't know it for sure) br Peter

Thanks Peter,
Actually I am using that excellent module but no communications between my UPS and N5200pro no matter what setting I use, I am starting to suspect a bad serial port.
I have read there is a bus speed jumper somewhere on the board to select 100 or 133, I can't find it to see if it is maybe miss set, anyone know if this jumper exists?
Also IMGDUP isn't working on the new board, I can't enable it, re-install it, or remove it.
Does IMGDUP still work on the pro?
