I have an N5200PRO and would like to be able to access the files remotely; mainly so I can rename and move files as needed, but the ability to download through a web interface would be great too.
I couldn't find any native ability to do so, and as such, I am assuming I need to install some module(s). I would appreciate any recommendations and advice on how to best set this up.
Thank you in advance!

not sure I fully understand what you mean by "access the files remotely", you've set up folders and users right?
If you login to the web admin page as a user rather than as admin you get a web interface to download files etc.

I setup mine to map the folders on the NAS to windows drives. This allows access the same way you would open the C: drive.
Setting this up is really easy. 1. Setup folders with appropriate permissions & users. 2. In the network settings, enable SMB/CIFS. 3. On your windows box, run the following:
net use W: \\192.168.1.197\Temp /USER:doyle
Replace: - W: with the drive letter you want to use. - 192.168.1.197 with the IP address of your NAS - doyle with your username
You'll be prompted for your password and then you're done. Open up My Computer and you'll see it there with whatever drive letter you chose.
Set this up with a batch script to make your life a little easier. Then it's just double click, wait 3 seconds, and you're done.
