Hi Folks, i installed the SQUEEZECENTER on my Thecus 4100 pro. I have used the Module for the 5200 (SQUEEZECENTER_v7_3_3.mod) because i don't found one for the 4100 pro. After installing everything works fine so far. But when i restart the thecus, i can't connect to the SQUEEZECENTER at port 9009 any more. The module is shown as up and running. When i try do restart the module i get the message, that the module failed to start. After deleting the module an installing it again i can start the module again and everything works fine, till the next start of the thecus. Newer experiments showed, that sometimes it is possible to start the module, sometimes not. Sometimes I'm able to connect to port 9009 sometimes not.
Is there anyone how has experiences with Squeezecenter on Thecus 4100 pro? I like the Squeezecenter very much an would be very happy if it works without that bug!!!
Please help, thanks a lot
Thomas

Hi All, after a little testing i found out, that SC 7.3.3 runs on thecus N4100 Pro whiteout significant problems. The only thing is, that starting the modules by rebooting the NAS takes a few minutes time. After that time everything works fine. With other (newer) versions i have some problems, so that i decided to stay on 7.3.3. 7.4 works, but i saw some problems connecting clients to the mysqueezebox.com network. 7.4.1 breaks the scanning of the music folder after a short time. Did anyone saw such a problem with SC 7.4.1 (maybe with a 5200)? As i told before SC 7.3.3 works fine! I decide to change the ram module to 1GB to improve the speed a bit.
Please tell your experiences!
Thanks, Thomas

I haven't seen those issues, perhaps you should ask in the 4100 area of this forum to see what the 4100 owners are doing?
