Hi, I working around for get running the program weather display in my N5200. My future idea is make a module, if is possible But i´m afraid problems, this program need the 2.5 or newer glibc version and i can see this library in N5200 is 2.3 and are complicated to update. Any chance to get this program running in the N5200?. is posible put isolated glibc for weather display. Or another way to do this. Any help was very appreciated BR, Jose A.

it may be overkill but you could probably get around it by running your code in something like a debian chroot environment.

Hi Drewy. Thank you very much for your help, very appreciated here I´m newbie in linux; i have a chroot environment in my N5200 for my experiments, but i not understand some concepts for use chroot. the user root can launch the chroot environment but this user can not launch weather display program (i.e): login as: sys sys@192.168.1.100's password: root@127.0.0.1:~# chroot /raid0/data/debian /bin/bash N5200:/# ls bin dev home lib mnt proc sbin tmp var boot etc initrd media opt root srv usr N5200:/# cd home/wd N5200:/home/wd# ls GoWdconsole.sh config.txt cronftp deploy readme.txt clientraw.txt config.txt~ cronmysql fetch3600 tagslist.txt clientrawextra.txt consolewd cronwu logfiles wdconsole.ini clientrawhour.txt croncwop datafiles open3600.conf N5200:/home/wd# /home/wd/GoWdconsole.sh ERROR: You can't run this as ROOT. Change to another user and try again. N5200:/home/wd#
I´m shure this way weather display console (wdconsole) can work but now the user is the problem. any ideas. Thx Jose A. Sorry for my lame english.
