Is it possible for a single user to have multiple connections on the Thecus NAS Units ?
A customer currently has a Netgear NAS which reports "multiple connections to a server or shared resource by the same user, using more than one user name are not allowed. Disconnect all previous connections to the shared resource & try again" Am I correct in thinking a User cannot have mapped drives to different shares on the NAS
Does the Thecus NAS work in the same way
Thanks for all replies

"multiple connections to a server or shared resource by the same user, using more than one user name are not allowed. Disconnect all previous connections to the shared resource & try again" Well, your answer is right there. You can connect to multiple shares, as long as you are using the same username. The key is 'using more than one username'. This is not just the netgear or thecus unit. This is a limitation of the SMB protocol. Airneil
