Hi,
I'm using the latest Twonky module on my N2100. It works fine but now I have a serious problem with symlinks. I have recorded movies from a Dreambox which are MPEG-2 *ts files. My UPnP-Client Zyxel DMA-1000 can only playback these files after they simply have been renamed to *.mpg. So I got a little script to create symlinks from the dreambox directory (on the N2100) to my Twonky Video directory (on the N2100). While creating the symlinks the linked files are renamed to *.mpg automatically. The script works fine and the symlinks were created. I can access the symlinked *.mpg-Files through my Windows-Notebook and play them in VLC player. But the files don't show up through TwonkyMedia - same in the Media Browser of the Twonky Web Interface. That means to me that they are just not recognized by Twonky. I already recreated the database and did a new scan - without success. I copied two real mpg-Files to the Twonky Video directory an they will show up. Is there any tip that will do the trick? Is there another way that Twonky Server will cheat the Zyxel and provide the *ts files as *.mpg files? Could it be a problem of creating symlinks on symlinks? What is the real path in the N2100. Is /raid/video just a symlink to a real path , e.g. hdda/part1/... ? Any help is appreciated, since this forum is my last hope. Twonky (PacketVideo) Support just sent me a standard mail, that all NAS versions, which comes not preconfigured with the NAS, are not any longer supported.
