Hi there, I'm new here since my good old N4100 has been working fine for years until yesterday. Suddenly, I could not write or delete any files contained in the Thecus. Disk information menu says all 4 disks are OK In the RAID information menu the RAID status: degraded (blinking). Clicking on "Config" shows that all disks are OK, but the RAID box for disk 1 is not ticked anymore, contrary to other 3 disks. Having said that, I do not dare do anything. I looks like I could tick the "free" box... Any idea on how I could solve this issue? Thanks in advance.
Bernard
My config: Thecus N4100 (firmware 1.3.04) with 4 Maxtor 300 GB configured in RAID5

Hi,
You have a failure on drive1. DO NOT power off the box. Remove the drive. Put a new one.
Raid rebuild should begin.
Eventually, you can fix the drive and use it elsewhere.
